The elegant lineage of the new DS-1051 executive chair is plain to see: its inimitable design DNA can be traced back to the DS-51 lounge chair which brought de Sede international acclaim during the 1970s. Unique in its form and exquisite in the skill of its craftsmanship, the swivel easy-chair represented a milestone in Swiss design history. Developers at de Sede have reworked this popular classic and extended its functions to make it the ideal choice for the workplace, too. The new executive chair programme is rounded off by a larger and more comfortable armchair supported by a chromed five-star base on castors. Rear and backrest surfaces are sewn meticulously by hand and the impressive stitching on the outer sides and armrests make the chair an instant eye-catcher with a look that breathes quality. The DS-1051 has a locking tilt mechanism and a gas spring for height adjustment.
DS-Living
de Sede selects the hides it uses in accordance with the most rigorous quality standards. Only bulls and bullocks raised in the best breeding conditions are deemed good enough for this purpose. DS-Living is a lightly pigmented nappa leather with lightly embossed graining. Between 1.5 and 1.7 mm thick, the leather is extremely hard-wearing, has an easy-care finish and is elegant in appearance.
