Can I update the cover on my de Sede furniture?

Yes, a new cover is possible in many cases. In general, we recommend that you update not only the cover but also the upholstery, as this loses its volume and shape over time. A completely new cover, including upholstery, costs between 70% and 90% of the purchase price, depending on the age and type of furniture (information subject to change).

 

What should I do if I want a new cover?

We recommend that you contact a specialist retailer. A list of de Sede retailers can be found in our Storelocator. Bring along a photo and, if possible, your original invoice. The retailer will advise you in detail on the different options and costs of a new cover, and draw up a non-binding offer for you.

 

Can I have my de Sede furniture reupholstered?

Yes, reupholstery is possible in many cases. Complete reupholstery costs between 10% and 60% of the purchase price, depending on the age and type of furniture (information subject to change).

 

What should I do if I want my furniture reupholstered?

We recommend that you contact a specialist retailer. A list of de Sede retailers can be found in our Storelocator. Bring along a photo and, if possible, your original invoice. The retailer will advise you in detail on the different reupholstery options, and draw up a non-binding offer for you.

 

How do I care for my leather furniture?

Leather is a high quality natural product, which, depending on the quality, may be subject to a more or less visible ageing process. The better and more professionally the leather is maintained, the less signs of change or wear will appear, which may affect the product’s appearance or shorten its life.

General care
Keep away from direct sunlight and other light sources. Direct light sources may fade the colour of the leather.

The right care products
To clean and care for your leather furniture, use only our leather care kit that has been designed specifically to treat de Sede leather. Always read the enclosed cleaning and care instructions. You can also find detailed care instructions on our website under ‘Leather’. Note the special care instructions for the different de Sede leather qualities.

If possible, bring along your original invoice and a photo of the part you would like to replace. The retailer will draw up a non-binding offer and will inform you about the delivery period.
